\r\n\r\nJob Description\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe Opportunity:\r\n\r\nThe Manufacturing Coordinator supports daily operational efficiency by managing purchase order processing, vendor communication, fleet documentation, and site Health & Safety requirements. This role provides vital administrative and organizational support to the Finance, Operations, and Safety teams, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and consistent workflow across the facility.\r\n\r\n\r\nAny MLF team member interested in being considered for this role are encouraged to apply online by December 29. Applications received beyond that date are not guaranteed consideration.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSnapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:\r\n\r\nFinancial & Purchasing Coordination\r\n\r\n\r\n\tSubmit, review, and process purchase orders (POs) in alignment with Maple Leaf Foods policies.\r\n\tTrack payments, follow up on outstanding invoices, and ensure timely processing.\r\n\tMaintain accurate and organized filing systems for financial documents and operational records.\r\n\tCollaborate with the Finance team during month-end activities and support reconciliations as required.\r\n\tServe as the primary contact for vendors, resolving inquiries and providing ongoing support.\r\n\tIdentify opportunities to simplify or improve purchasing processes.\r\n\tCreate and manage inventory counts (weekly, monthly and annual)\r\n\tCompletion of Electronic Change Records in SAP for new material setups\r\n\tManage vendor set up and updates in SAP\r\n\tGenerate Weekly Egg Settlement Report and Levy Payments; submit reports for payment\r\n\tCreate manual credits and debits for producers directed by Finance\r\n\r\n\r\nFleet Management Support\r\n\r\n\r\n\tManage and maintain fleet-related file systems, including registrations, inspection reports, maintenance records, and certifications.\r\n\tSupport scheduling and tracking of required fleet renewals, audits, and compliance documents.\r\n\tAssist in coordinating communication between Drivers, Operations, and external service providers.\r\n\tMaintain accurate records of fleet-related expenses and documentation.\r\n\r\n\r\nHealth & Safety Representative\r\n\r\n\r\n\tParticipate in Health & Safety training and ensure proper documentation and tracking.\r\n\tSupport the review, updating, and distribution of site safety documents, procedures, and training materials.\r\n\tAssist in incident reporting, investigation notes, corrective action documentation, and follow-up.\r\n\tPromote safety awareness and ensure compliance with Maple Leaf Foods and provincial safety requirements.\r\n\tParticipate in safety meetings, inspections, and audits as required.\r\n\r\n\r\nManage front office and supplies; sort and distribute mail, prepare packages for shipment, manage Cisco phone system, Control and direct deliveries/visitors through front gate.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat You’ll Bring:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPost-secondary education in Business Administration, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).\r\n\tExperience with purchase order processing, vendor management, or administrative coordination is an asset.\r\n\tStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\r\n\tProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); exposure to ERP or procurement systems is beneficial.\r\n\tExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written.\r\n\tHigh attention to detail and accuracy.\r\n\tAbility to work independently and collaboratively across departments.\r\n\tKnowledge of workplace safety practices or previous H&S experience is an asset.\r\n\r\n\r\nCompetencies\r\n\r\n\r\n\tTeamwork & Collaboration – Works effectively with internal and external partners.\r\n\tAttention to Detail – Ensures accuracy in documentation and processing.\r\n\tTime Management – Prioritizes tasks in a fast-paced environment.\r\n\tProblem Solving – Supports resolution of vendor, purchasing, and operational issues.\r\n\tProfessional Communication – Maintains positive relationships with vendors and internal teams.\r\n\r\n\r\nWorking Conditions\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPrimarily office-based with regular interaction across Operations, Finance, Fleet, and Safety teams.\r\n\tOccasional participation in on-site inspections, meetings, or training.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat We Offer at Maple Leaf Foods:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBeing part of a high-performance, people-focused company that has an inspiring and unique vision to become the most sustainable protein company on earth, and a deep commitment to sustainable protein across North America.\r\n\tAn inclusive company culture and a work environment that keeps our people safe, rewards excellence, and empowers everyone to learn and contribute their best.\r\n\tCompetitive Health and Wellness benefits that offer flexibility to meet your individual or family needs, including programs focused on improving mental health and wellbeing.
