We're looking for a motivated Farm Assistant to join our Research Services team and support farm operations at
Trangie Agricultural Research Centre.
- Temporary opportunity until 30 June 2026
- Full-time, 38 hours per week
- Location: Trangie Agricultural Research Centre (TARC), Trangie
- Salary from $61,107 to $67,341 pa + superannuation (Operational Staff Grade 1)
- Subsidised onsite accommodation is available
What You'll Be Doing
Do you enjoy working outdoors, caring for animals, and getting stuck into all aspects of farm life? As a Farm Assistant, you'll be right at the heart of keeping our farm running smoothly. This is a hands-on role where you'll be involved in everything from livestock care and cropping to machinery and general farm maintenance.
This role is crucial to the delivery of the Low Methane Beef Project as well as the broader livestock operations on the farm
You'll also play a vital role in supporting our research services team, helping with irrigation, spraying, cereal harvest and fencing.
If you like variety, teamwork, and the satisfaction of seeing a job well done, this role gives you the chance to do it all.
To be successful in this role you must have
- Current NSW Driver Licence
- Chemical Accreditation AQF 3
- Current forklift licence or eligibility to obtain
