Animal Triage Attendant

Location: Hunter Shelter
Job Type: Full-time (12-month Contract)

Are you passionate about animal welfare?
Join RSPCA NSW as an Animal Triage Attendant and make a difference in the lives of surrendered, stray, and inspectorate animals. You will play a crucial role in their care, working alongside dedicated colleagues in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

Prepare animals for shelter intake, conduct health assessments, and document findings.
Provide first aid, manage wounds, and assist with procedures.
Care for daily husbandry, including grooming, blood testing, vaccinations, and microchipping.
Ensure accurate animal identification and maintain high cleanliness standards.
Actively participate in training and promote RSPCA NSW to all stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

Certificate II or higher in Animal Care or related discipline.
6 months experience in animal handling in a welfare or veterinary setting.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
