We are hiring a
Ranch Foreman to oversee all livestock and assist in grain operations. Oversee two full time employees, and work closely with the owners to manage 3,000 acres of corn and soybeans, and over 700 head of cattle. This hands-on role involves planning and executing all aspects of livestock care, and assisting with planting and harvest while leading a small team and maintaining equipment. The ideal candidate brings practical cattle experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and sustainability. What you will do...
- Oversee daily farm/ranch operations for row crops and cattle, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Oversee cattle care, including feeding, calving, grazing rotations, breeding, and overall herd health.
- Lead and support the farm team by scheduling work, training employees, and jumping in where needed.
- Maintain equipment, facilities, and farm infrastructure to keep everything in top working condition.
- Monitor soil health and pasture productivity, making data-driven decisions to improve results.
- Keep records organized and help, inputs, and manage inventory.
- Promote safety, sustainability, and stewardship across all areas of the operation.
What You Will Bring...
- Experience in cattle or livestock production
- Basic farm equipment maintenance knowledge
- Experience in crop production is a plus
- Ability to work extended hours as needed
