Job Description: Our client is seeking a motivated Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join a progressive ambulatory and referral-focused service supporting a diverse equine population. This role offers exposure to both first-opinion and referral-level work, with access to advanced diagnostic capabilities that support thorough case workups and informed clinical decision-making.
The position is well suited to a veterinarian who values collaboration and continuity of care while building strong relationships with local clients and referring practices. In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied ambulatory caseload across leisure and competition horses
- Contributing to diagnostic investigations and ongoing case management
- Participating in an out-of-hours rota while maintaining high clinical standards
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to support referrals and continuity of care
Qualifications Needed:
- RCVS registration or eligibility to register in the UK
- Previous equine practice experience or strong ambulatory exposure preferred
- Confidence working independently while contributing to a team setting
- A proactive approach to clinical development and client communication
