Job Description: Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced veterinary leader to oversee medical standards while continuing to deliver hands-on small animal care. The position combines active case management with responsibility for medical direction, encouraging consistency, thoughtful decision-making, and collaboration across the clinic. By remaining clinically involved, the Medical Director plays a visible role in reinforcing best practices and building trust with colleagues and clients.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Guiding clinical standards while maintaining an active small animal caseload
- Mentoring veterinarians through case discussion, feedback, and clinical support
- Supporting the development and refinement of medical protocols
- Encouraging teamwork and constructive communication across the clinic
- Participating in scheduling and clinical planning to support consistent care
Qualifications Needed:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent) with current or eligible New York licensure
- Solid background in small animal clinical practice
- Prior leadership experience or readiness to take on medical oversight
- Strong interpersonal skills with a calm, supportive leadership approach
