As a Sales Agronomist, you are expected to drive business growth by developing new relationships with key growers, identifying their pain points, and providing agronomic-driven advice and insights. Your efforts will help expand Bayer's market share and reinforce its value as a trusted partner.\r\n\r\nYOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe primary responsibilities of this role, Sales Agronomist IV, are to:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tLead the development of a comprehensive Bayer portfolio business plan with Field Sales Representatives (FSRs) for assigned geography, prioritizing ~100 growers with high growth opportunity;\r\n\tCollaborate with FSRs, Technical Agronomists, and SeedPros to build a comprehensive Bayer business plan and drive market share growth with identified growers;\r\n\tBuild relationships with key growers by providing agronomic insights, product selection, and placement recommendations;\r\n\tDeliver squad goals through leading the grower demand generation plan and supporting others' role responsibilities;\r\n\tProvide whole-farm agronomic advice through education, product selection, and placement, staying informed of agricultural research;\r\n\tDrive trials related to Bayer Portfolio with targeted growers;\r\n\tSupport key seasonal milestones such as crop planning, responding to in-season product needs, scouting fields, and monitoring harvest results;\r\n\tLead, coach, and collaborate with FSRs, TAs, and SeedPros on business planning, understanding, and influencing growers' business objectives;\r\n\tAddress key grower needs in season, including performance issue resolution and replanting;\r\n\tStrategically recommend innovative ways to enhance business results and connect internally for alignment and support.\r\n\r\n\r\nWHO YOU ARE:\r\n\r\nBayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:\r\n\r\nRequired Qualifications:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\tAgility in communication to effectively interact with organizations or individuals, with a customer-first focus;\r\n\tAbility to discuss company practices related to current and future products and corporate initiatives;\r\n\tDemonstrated strategic thinking capability using business insights to project decisions;\r\n\tDigital fluency with industry tools and a desire to use data for business growth;\r\n\tStrong analytical, influence, innovative sales, and negotiation skills;\r\n\tExcellent facilitation, presentation, written communication, and conflict management skills;\r\n\tAbility to coach and mentor teams and quickly grow strategic relationships;\r\n\tStrong task management skills to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously;\r\n\tExceptional networking and consultative sales skills to engage customers and build new relationships;\r\n\tAbility to learn and apply agronomic knowledge to promote diverse options fitting customer needs;\r\n\tPosition requires driving for the company, potentially under DOT/FMCSA jurisdiction, which may involve hauling trailers, products, supplies, or equipment safely.\r\n\r\n\r\nPreferred Qualifications:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tMinimum of 12 years of relevant agriculture experience in agronomy, technology, sales, or marketing;\r\n\tExperience with sales teams and teams working remotely.\r\n\tBachelor's degree in an agriculture-related discipline, business, or an appropriate related field;\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nEmployees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $106,226.40 - $159,339.60 .Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
