You will be responsible for driving the invention of new and optimized genome editing methods, planning and executing experiments, and developing research proposals. Your work will involve analyzing large datasets, collaborating with cross-functional R&D project teams, and effectively communicating research findings to stakeholders. You will seek collaboration with colleagues across various functions and departments to solve complex problems and contribute to the advancement of genome editing technologies.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\nYOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\tDesign, conduct, and interpret genome editing tools development experiments, including molecular, biochemical, in vitro, and cell analyses;\r\n\tPlan and execute experiments to develop alternative editing delivery methods;\r\n\tDrive the invention of new and optimized genome editing tools;\r\n\tDevelop and implement research and outcome-driven proposals;\r\n\tInterpret and analyze large datasets utilizing data science skills;\r\n\tBe accountable for cross-functional work in multiple R&D project teams;\r\n\tEffectively summarize and communicate research findings to stakeholders through written reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders;\r\n\tSeek collaboration with colleagues in other functions and departments to solve problems;\r\n\tExtract new developments from the scientific literature to aid in problem-solving;\r\n\tContribute a sustained high level of technical skill and achievement.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWHO YOU ARE:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nBayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nRequired Qualifications:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\tPhD in biological sciences, MS with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or BS with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience;\r\n\tBackground or applied experience in plant development, molecular biology, and genetics;\r\n\tTrack record of collaborating with diverse levels and functions to execute a common vision;\r\n\tCommunication skills with fluency in English, both verbal and written;\r\n\tTrack record of transparent sharing of ideas and data across teams;\r\n\tDemonstrated ability to conduct research to solve complex problems;\r\n\tDemonstrated ability to prioritize experiments based on enterprise needs;\r\n\tFundamental skills required to generate, manipulate, and interpret large datasets.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nEmployees can expect to be paid a salary between $86,394.40 - $129,591.60 Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant).
