Golden Peanut in Comyn, TX (Procurement Division) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Tech that is reliable and wants to build a lasting career.
This is a full-time, hourly W2 position.
Schedule: 7:00am until released. Typically 3:30pm. Will work overtime, weekends, and be on call as needed.
Pay: $20.00 to $30.00 an hour depending on experience
Job Responsibilities
- Conducts job tasks with a positive, safe attitude and maintain a safe work record.
- Maintains a good attendance record
- Respond to requests to address and diagnose operation mechanical problems where equipment is not operating correctly
- Disassemble, repair, replace, rebuild, and install mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications
- Perform regular inspections of production equipment and performing preventive maintenance duties
- Collaborate with management and other colleagues in decisions concerning maintenance problems regarding equipment
- Fabricate parts for use in maintenance and/or electrical tasks
- Weld parts for use in maintenance and/or electrical tasks
- Perform semi-skilled to unskilled labor duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of various equipment
- Provide on-call coverage
- Responsible for ensuring work area is kept clean
- Order and inventory parts, equipment and/or tools as assigned by supervisor
- Job purpose is to minimize unscheduled losses and improve reliability
- Maintains good housekeeping and completes sanitation duties and paperwork as required.
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual inspections, reporting any problems noted.
- Willing to be trained to work various jobs within the facility
- Maintain documentation required to perform job duties
- Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by management

- The ability to work overtime and be on call as needed including weekends
- That you maintain excellent attendance (being on time, working when scheduled, staying until your shift ends)
- Demonstrates the ability to be observant and to address concerns that may arise
- Previous experience in a factory setting is preferred
- Mechanical Aptitude is a must. Be able to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment and will need welding and fabrication experience.
- The ability to work above ground level on grated flooring and climb stairs/ladders
