Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated full-time, on-site
Staff Accountant with a high level of attention to detail. This role is responsible for various day-to-day accounting tasks, including but not limited to:
- Providing support to the accounting department
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Assisting with month-end close
Summary of Duties
- Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with accepted accounting procedures.
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other reports to assess accuracy and completeness.
- Confer with company officials and management about financial asset utilization and audit results.
- Assist in the preparation of company budgets and enter data into QuickBooks.
- Prepare adjusting journal entries.
- Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences.
- Establish a chart of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
- Inspect cash on hand, notes receivable and payable, negotiable securities, and canceled checks to confirm record accuracy.
- Assist in preparing financial forecasts and projections.
- Manage deadlines and competing priorities.
- Mentor new employees if needed.
- Serve as a backup for payroll processing.
- Assist in preparing for year-end audits and special projects.
- Support bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare and record journal entries.
- Assist with daily accounts payable and accounts receivable entries and accuracy checks.
Education & Work Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- Extensive experience in accounting or a related field.
- Post-secondary education may substitute for years of experience.

- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Suite.
- High attention to detail.

Working Conditions
- Hours of operation: 8 AM - 5 PM.
- Work environment requires immediate response to spontaneous customer demands.
