STARTING SALARY: $80,000+ DOE\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWorking with and managing Field Managers to improve productivity and reduce cost of production for the region. Analyze production records to identify strengths and weaknesses to develop management practices. Implement management practices for systematic approach to production. Work with Midwest Regional Finishing Director to develop and forecast on budgeted production numbers. Ensure that SOP’s are known and followed across your WTF region of approximately 300,000 pig spaces.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nEssential Functions:\r\n\r\n(Order of essential functions does not indicate importance of function)\r\n\r\n\r\n\tManage direct reports including KPI’s, Vacation time, expense management, performance management, training and accountability on SOP’s, etc.\r\n\tLeverage Data and Analytics. Utilize data driven insights to inform decision making, monitor KPI’s, implement data driven solutions with follow up to drive WTF performance.\r\n\tWork with analyst for production analysis and forecasting.\r\n\tReview Closeouts, and inventory records\r\n\tProduction and Marketing analysis and forecasting.\r\n\tRegularly in the field with your Field Managers doing farm visits. Focus on troubleshooting and resolution of production issues and contract issues in the following areas: Ventilation, Feed, Water, safety, biosecurity, etc. \r\n\tEnsure that SOP’s are being followed, including euthanasia processes.\r\n\tLead and participate in team meetings both in person and online.\r\n\tResponsible for ongoing measurement of key performance metrics and for establishing action for continuous improvement.\r\n\tPartner with animal welfare, field staff, producers, truckers, and plants as needed.\r\n\tResponsible for managing processes to ensure that PQA and TQA guidelines are being met or exceeded.\r\n\tMust understand pig flow at all levels of the system including weaned pig and feeder pig/overstock movements. \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSuccess Factors:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAble to act in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a systematic approach to decision making. \r\n\tAble to react to a work environment that will change day to day as unexpected things occur in the production system.\r\n\tAble to work with people in such a manner to build high morale, create positive energy, and focused commitments to goals and objectives.\r\n\tAble to establish and carry out specific courses of action for self and/or groups in an independent manner; willing to commit to long hours of work and personal sacrifice to reach goals.\r\n\tSelf-motivated and able to organize and prioritize tasks.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nJob Qualifications:\r\n\r\n\r\n\t4-year degree or minimum of 10 years applicable experience required.\r\n\tPrevious experience in managing a team\r\n\tIncluding conflict resolution skills\r\n\tPrevious P&L management experience\r\n\tWorking knowledge of MS Office including MS Excel\r\n\tExcellent communication skills including public speaking and motivating teams.\r\n\tValid driver’s license\r\n\tWorking knowledge of all the following:\r\n\tGrowing/finishing pig management\r\n\tSwine animal welfare standards\r\n\tBiosecurity and health management processes and procedures\r\n\tSafety and Environmental\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWorking Conditions:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAbility to work with all office equipment is required.\r\n\tAbility to travel regularly, including overnight as required.\r\n\tAnimal confinement conditions\r\n\tExtended hours are required as needed.\r\n\tThe applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits: \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nBenefits:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tVision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment; \r\n\tPaid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays; \r\n\t401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule; \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThis position does not have an application deadline.
