Job Description: Our client is seeking a motivated mixed animal veterinarian who enjoys working with both small and larger species in a well-established regional practice. You’ll support a varied caseload including dogs, cats, and farm animals while delivering sound clinical care in a community-oriented environment that values clear communication and practical, hands-on veterinary medicine.
This position offers the chance to work with a supportive team across a full range of general practice services including wellness, diagnostics, routine surgery, dental care, and livestock consultations. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to animal health holistically while strengthening community trust and clinical capability.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting wellness exams and creating individualized health plans for companion animals
- Performing routine surgical and dental procedures with thorough follow-up care
- Providing livestock and large animal visits including herd health guidance and treatment
- Utilizing diagnostic imaging and in-house lab results to inform confident clinical decisions
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science or equivalent recognised in Australia
- Eligibility for veterinary registration in Queensland
- Competence in general small animal and mixed animal medicine and surgery
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to educate and support diverse clients
