Job Purpose and Impact
The Buyer will support multiple country or multiple business sourcing activities for the contingent labour and independent contractor space. In this role, you will execute complex procurement tasks to provide inputs to the global category team or individually drive region specific initiatives.
In this position, you will lead and coordinate cross‑country procurement and compliance‑driven projects, ensuring strong stakeholder management, structured planning and communication, anticipation of risks and dependencies, and alignment with internal policies, sourcing controls, and organizational objectives.
Key Accountabilities
- Execute medium and highly complex sourcing events.
- Drive the implementation of regional sourcing decisions and provide support with the implementation of global sourcing decisions.
- Provide inputs to the global category team for category strategy development and execution.
- Provide comprehensive understanding of regional stakeholder and procurement landscape.
- Monitor continuous regional supplier and stakeholder relationships.
- Follow established procedures to select suppliers for procurement of noncontracted materials, goods, services and supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (logistic, supply chain, HR) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of four years of related work experience.
- Proven experience leading regional contingent‑labor sourcing projects, supported by strong analytical and strategic capabilities, deep recruitment‑industry knowledge, and the ability to interpret labor legislation and drive cost‑optimization initiatives.
- Fluent English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, coordinate initiatives in a virtual team environment, meet deadlines and make decisions that impact business results.
- Solid understanding of local labor legislation (NL, BE, UK, FR, DE) to identify compliance risks, design or adapt processes accordingly, and reinforce trust with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Administer transactions associated with obtaining goods and services.
- Demonstrate strong negotiation and supplier partnership skills, ensuring balanced outcomes, contract alignment with legislation and market trends, and performance improvements through business reviews and supply base optimization.
- Show high technical literacy by effectively using VMS tools, Power BI, Excel and data analysis; applying discipline in handling personal data; demonstrating financial acumen; and maintaining accurate documentation in required systems.
