Job Purpose and Impact
The Supplier Quality Management Specialist EMEA will evaluate external suppliers of packaging and ingredients, external manufacturers and warehouses to the organization ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, feed/food safety and quality standards. In this role, you will partner with suppliers and internal colleagues in purchasing, operations and commercial, to ensure achievement of safe and quality food goals through effectively managing supplier relationships.
The role is dedicated to the countries where Cargill operates in Animal Nutrition in EMEA region, including Turkey, Poland, Hungary, Italy and Jordan.
Work in hybrid system.
Key Accountabilities
- Follow up of Supplier Quality Management Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Ensure all raw material ingredients and packaging suppliers are qualified according to company feed/ food safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct food/feed safety risk assessments on packaging and ingredients and their.
- Audit suppliers, external manufacturers, and external warehouses or follow up on audit findings are completed within the required timeframe and meet requirements
- Supplier maintenance activities, keeping supplier database updated on required documentation and information from our suppliers and materials.
- Monitor supplier performance against specification requirements, follow up with suppliers to gather data and in the event of adverse material performance, work collaboratively to implement corrective actions.
- Work as part of Incident Management team for Supplier Incidents, leading supplier incident investigations and follow up corrective actions implementation.
- Work with local and regional production facilities to set and coordinate the incoming raw material criteria and drive improvement in quality and safety for all ingredients and packaging.
- Write and maintain supplier quality SOPs and keep up to date with new legal, labeling and food safety changes.
- Being an active part of continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years of related work experience
- The ability to influence multiple, complex partners at different levels both internally and externally locally and globally.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, fluency in English (and local language) and able to present in an articulate manner.
- Computer literacy, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SAP.
- Minimum 2 years of practical experience in food or feed safety and quality, ideally within a production environment and/or performing supplier or system audits.
- Knowledge of European Feed and Packaging Regulation
Preferred qualifications:
- ISO Lead Auditor qualified would be useful or equivalent recognized auditor qualification.
- Knowledge establishing material and vendor risk and ensuring appropriate mitigation is defined
- Knowledge in 3rd party certifications in feed sector such as GMP+, QS, etc
- Knowledge in Microsoft Power(Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Bi)
- Experience conducting product safety audits
- Expertise in feed and petfood sector
