Your Role: IT Infrastructure Technician
The TechOps team supports Elanco manufacturing and Research & Development (R&D) sites across the North American region. This role—IT Infrastructure Technician—is based at the Clinton, IN Manufacturing facility and provides hands-on IT support for site infrastructure, end-user technologies, and local IT services in a regulated manufacturing and laboratory environment.
The scope includes—but is not limited to—supporting internal stakeholders, end-user computing, collaboration and video conferencing solutions, telephony, site network and connectivity, hosting and security components, physical cabling, server room standards, printing, equipment lifecycle management, and other dedicated office, manufacturing, and laboratory IT infrastructure and solutions.
Your Responsibilities
Ensure continuity and reliability of critical IT processes, hardware, and software components to support uninterrupted business operations.
Provide standard and non-standard technical support to end-users.
Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues effectively and efficiently, including break/fix, install, move, add, and change (IMAC) support for PCs, laptops, iDevices, printers, Windows 11, Microsoft Office, O365, MS Teams video conferencing systems, and telephony.
Ensure last-mile support for active IT network equipment, network components (including cabling and connectivity), and other office and manufacturing site IT infrastructure components.
Ensure operational support of specific office, manufacturing, and R&D IT systems.
Serve as a secondary point of contact for local site leadership and employees, and as a key liaison to regional and global Elanco IT teams and service providers (acting as a substitute for the primary IT Site Champion when needed).
Manage and maintain local assets and configuration items in ServiceNow.
Execute local IT infrastructure projects.
Support the IT procurement process and ensure appropriate stock levels of IT equipment.
Use incident, request, and change management IT processes (ServiceNow).
Perform or support LCM (Lifecycle Management) activities, including End User Computing (EUC), site IT switches, and site IT UPS systems.
Partner with site business stakeholders, IT stakeholders, and vendors.
Create, maintain, and update SOPs, Knowledge Articles, and other IT documentation (e.g., Elanco CCE/R3).
Escalate issues promptly and communicate status, risks, and resolutions clearly and effectively.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of site-specific business processes and their interaction with IT systems.
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Information Technology, Computer Networking, Computer Engineering, IT Systems Engineering, or equivalent certifications and practical experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Information Technology.
Experience providing end-user IT support with a proven ability to set up, troubleshoot, and support hardware, peripheral devices, software, video conferencing, and operating systems, as well as experience using incident and request management systems such as ServiceNow in organizations with more than 250 users.
Knowledge of core IT processes, including user support, deskside support, incident, change, and escalation management, asset and lifecycle management, and documentation management—preferably within regulated manufacturing and laboratory environments.
Technical knowledge of computer systems and infrastructure, including end-user devices, networking, wireless technologies, video conferencing systems, digital security, and selected office, manufacturing, quality, and R&D IT systems.
Demonstrated strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships, fostering constructive and cooperative collaboration over time.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience with the ITIL framework and IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
Previous experience collaborating with and supporting Operational Technology (OT) teams through IT infrastructure expertise.
Knowledge of regulated manufacturing and laboratory processes supported by IT services, as well as manufacturing-related computer systems and data.
Additional Information
Location: Clinton, IN as the primary site (on-site, in-person); Terre Haute as a secondary location.
Standard 8-hour day shift; minimal travel required (Monday–Friday).
Some on-call or on-site support may be required to support 24/7 operations.
Position requires exposure to production and R&D environments.
