## Overview
Here at Tallgrass Vet we are continuing to grow and expand our team! Tallgrass Veterinary Hospital is a modern, progressive mixed animal pracitice. Our caseload is approximately 60% small animal and 40% large animal. In addition to a normal mixed animal caseload, we are also a referral hosptial for practices all over the region for small animal orthopedics, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine as well as advanced large animal cases.
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing high-quality veterinary services.
## Duties
- Perform X-rays and assist with diagnostic imaging procedures
- Apply knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology
- Provide care for a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, cattle, horses, small ruminants and some exotic patients.
- Assist veterinarians in surgical procedures and post-operative care
- Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results
- Perform animal catheterization and monitor patients during critical care
## Qualifications
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) required
- Proficiency in X-ray techniques and equipment operation
- Strong understanding of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology
- Experience in small animal and large animal care is a plus
- Ability to handle laboratory procedures effectively
- Skilled in animal catheterization techniques
- Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
