If you re hungry to build a varied and meaningful career in a community of brilliant and diverse minds to make a real difference, there s only one choice.\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tDigital Technology Co-Op \r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tYOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tThe primary responsibilities of this role are to: \r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\t\r\n\t\tPartner with the local Operations Technology team to implement pre-selected digital projects that support our chemical manufacturing business units;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tEvaluate digital tools from the company s application suite and make determinations on how to move forward;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tParticipate in cross-functional teams responsible for implementing business objectives using new or existing systems;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tUnderstand and document processes as well as act as project manager during the design, development (of end user tools), cost, testing, implementation, training, and communication of new systems and processes;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tEnsure systems and solutions meet business requirements and drive user adoption;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tAnalyze systemic issues regarding software and system processes within the area of responsibility and recommend both short term and long-term solutions;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tHelp manage system upgrades within the Operations Technology area including design, development, data mapping, integration analysis, scripting, testing, implementation, training, and communication;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tCreate and support ad hoc queries, dashboards, and reports using available business intelligence tools;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tInvestigate and evaluate new systems, solutions, and processes to meet future business needs;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tSupport development and improvement through participation on site initiatives and committees.\r\n\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tWHO YOU ARE\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tBayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tRequired Qualifications and Competencies:\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\t\r\n\t\tCurrently enrolled in a bachelor s or master s degree in a digital-related field of study;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tSuccessfully completed a sophomore year or higher before the co-op assignment;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tAbility to commute daily to and from work location in Muscatine, IA;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tWillingness to work 40 hours per week in a chemical manufacturing environment;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tGeneral knowledge of RDBMS including Oracle or SQL server Microsoft Visual Studio / .NET programming;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tKnowledge or experience in some form of software programming (C, C#, VB, Java, etc.);\r\n\t\r\n\t\tExperience in managing small-to-medium IT based projects;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skills;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tStrong written and oral communication skills;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tAbility to work well in a team environment and form strong networks & relationships;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tAbility to work well within a culture that values diversity;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tWillingness to actively pursue learning and self-development.\r\n\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tPreferred Qualifications:\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\t\r\n\t\tMinimum overall GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale; \r\n\t\r\n\t\tExperience with optimizing SQL queries or stored procedures/packages;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tExperience creating Microsoft SharePoint based solutions;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tExperience with Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI or similar dashboarding tool;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tBasic SAP knowledge in production, maintenance, or quality management functions;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tGeneral knowledge of middleware solutions and data warehousing;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tExperience developing or configuring workflow enabled applications.\r\n\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tEmployees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $24.20 to $38.90. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
