North West Veterinary Dermatology Services - Kelowna is expanding coverage and seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technologist to join our team.
Active RVT licensure is required, and candidates must have strong anesthesia experience and technical skills. Experience in a fast-paced or specialty setting is an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Collect and prepare patient samples for laboratory analysis
- Prepare for and assist with medical procedures
- Independently monitor and manage anesthesia, including patient monitoring before, during, and after procedures to ensure optimal safety and recovery
- Admit and discharge patients, providing clear and compassionate client education and home care instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records and support administrative functions, including phone and email communication
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Graduate from an accredited animal health or veterinary technology college program
- Successful completion of the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE)
- Previous experience working as an RVT is preferred

- Strong technical skills in blood collection, catheter placement, and anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Perform low stress patient handling and optimal care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both clients and team members
- Strong desire to learn and excel
- Compassionate; Aptitude for making clients feel welcomed and comfortable
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience with Cornerstone PMS and general computer troubleshooting is considered an asset
