Bode Farms is a 2,200-acre corn and soybean operation located near Kewanna, IN, with a mix of irrigated and non-irrigated ground. We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Farm Operations Lead to serve as a key member of the operation and a trusted right-hand to ownership.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved in all aspects of a modern row-crop operation and is interested in growing into a leadership role over time.
This individual will also serve as a point person when the owner is away, helping ensure work continues efficiently and responsibly.
Position Overview
The Farm Operations Lead will play a critical role in day-to-day farm operations, including equipment operation, maintenance, and seasonal fieldwork.
While prior experience is valued, we are very open to training the right person - someone who brings a strong work ethic, genuine interest in agriculture, and transferable skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain modern farm equipment for corn and soybean production
- Assist with planting, spraying, irrigation, harvest, and other seasonal field operations
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
- Help coordinate daily tasks and take initiative when working independently
- Step into a leadership role when ownership is off-site
- Work extended hours during peak seasons as needed
Qualifications & Traits
- Experience operating farm equipment is preferred, but not required for the right candidate
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment maintenance
- Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and integrity
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Interest in long-term growth within a farming operation
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and be trained
