About the Role
We are seeking an experienced veterinarian to step into the role of Veterinarian Operations Manager, a senior leadership position that equally values clinical expertise and business acumen.
Working closely with the Veterinary Director and Practice Manager, you will help bridge day-to-day clinical operations with higher-level planning, financial awareness, and strategic decision-making.
This role shapes how good medicine is practiced, how teams are supported, and how the hospital performs as a business.
This role is ideal for a veterinarian who:

Your Day-To-Day
Support the Veterinary Director in clinical leadership, governance and complex decision-making.
Provide senior clinical input on complex or escalated medical and surgical cases.
Drive consistent, evidence-based clinical standards and quality improvement across the hospital.
Mentor and support veterinarians, including new graduates and students, to build confidence and capability.
Contribute clinical insight to hospital planning, including sustainability, capacity and growth.
Help identify and address workflow pressure points, inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
Collaborate with nursing leadership, customer care and management teams to support smooth daily operations.
Participate in discussions around pricing, diagnostics utilisation, case acceptance and resource allocation.

About You
You’re an experienced small animal veterinarian who cares about doing things properly, and brings:
BVSc, DVM or equivalent, with eligibility for QLD registration.
7+ years’ experience in small animal practice.
A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset.
Confidence managing GP caseload.
Experience mentoring veterinarians or supporting clinical teams.
Strong communication skills.
A genuine interest in improving systems, standards, and sustainability.
Personal alignment with ‘Excellence with Heart’.
