Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Veterinarian specializing in Small Animal care to join our veterinary team. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a variety of small animal health issues, including dogs and cats
- Perform routine examinations, vaccinations, and wellness checks
- Conduct surgical procedures with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques
- Administer medications, anesthesia, and interpret laboratory tests as needed
- Handle animal restraint safely during examinations and procedures
- Educate pet owners on animal health, nutrition, and preventive care strategies
- Assist with emergency critical care cases when necessary
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with veterinary standards
- Perform animal husbandry tasks such as grooming, feeding, and general care
- Utilize veterinary terminology effectively in communication with team members and pet owners
Requirements
- Veterinary degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice as a veterinarian
- Proven veterinary experience with small animals; additional experience in critical care or laboratory work is a plus
- Strong animal handling skills including dog handling, animal restraint, and pet grooming
- Knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and veterinary terminology
- Experience with animal catheterization, aseptic techniques, and laboratory procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compassion for animals and clients
- Excellent communication skills for educating pet owners and collaborating with team members
- Prior experience with equine or laboratory animals is advantageous but not required
