Field Agronomy Specialist based in
Howe, IN to support our agronomy and farm operations teams across multiple locations. In this role, you will work closely with the agronomy team and Farm Managers, with a primary focus on field scouting and crop quality evaluation during the growing season.
Approximately
50% travel is expected between Lennard Ag’s farm locations. This is a hands-on, field-based role with exposure to both in-season crop development and post-harvest quality analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate planting quality in field for spacing, depth, and uniformity
- Scout fields throughout the growing season and collect field data, with a primary focus on potato crops
- Assist with post-harvest crop quality assessments and analysis
- Analyze crop quality factors including impact bruising, hollow heart, and other post-harvest quality indicators
- Communicate findings to agronomy leadership and farm managers to support continuous improvement
- Assist in potato seed quality and uniformity in cutting
- Travel regularly between Lennard Ag Company farm locations (approximately 50%)
- Maintain accurate field notes, reports, and data records
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agriculture, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on field experience)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and walk fields for extended periods during the growing season
- Ability to work extended hours during peak season.
