- Perform surgical procedures, including animal restraint and aseptic techniques, with precision and care.
- Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments tailored to each animal’s needs.
- Handle animals safely using proper animal handling techniques, including dog handling and equine experience when applicable.
- Assist in laboratory testing and interpret results related to animal physiology and anatomy.
- Maintain detailed medical records, documenting diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Educate pet owners on pet grooming, pet care routines, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
Requirements
- Proven veterinary critical care experience with the ability to respond swiftly in emergency situations.
- Strong animal restraint skills and familiarity with animal husbandry practices.
- Extensive veterinary experience with a solid understanding of veterinary terminology and animal physiology.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy and the ability to perform procedures such as animal catheterization accurately.
- Experience in laboratory settings involving diagnostic testing and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to handle various animals confidently, including dogs, cats, and horses when applicable.
- Excellent communication skills for educating pet owners about pet grooming, pet care routines, and health management.
