The Scheduler plays a critical role in coordinating anesthesia and surgical procedures to maximize operational efficiency while minimizing patient safety risks. This position is responsible for reviewing cases prior to anesthesia to ensure all required information is accurate and complete, including verification of anesthesia authorization forms, required signatures, estimates, and deposit processing.
The Scheduler communicates effectively with multiple departments and clinical services to prevent delays in patient care and to ensure all members of the care team are informed and prepared for each procedure. This role requires close collaboration across hospital departments to develop and maintain optimal surgical schedules.
The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to manage both written and verbal correspondence related to scheduling changes and cancellations in a timely and accurate manner. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced workload are essential for success in this role.

This is a full-time, benefited position and is considered essential personnel. A post-offer education verification, background check, and health assessment are required.
Typical schedule will be Monday through Friday and may require working earlier then 8:00 a.m. or later than 5:00 p.m. Schedule may change due to covering other shifts and it may be required to assist in other areas of the hospital depending on patient care needs.
