Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care for animals and supporting the veterinarian in various clinical tasks. This position requires good communication skills, being a team player and hands-on experience with animal care and handling. Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals.
Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures and provide post-operative care.
Conduct dental cleanings and assist with dental procedures.
Handle animals safely and effectively, employing proper restraint techniques.
Provide education to pet owners on animal husbandry, nutrition, and preventive care.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic, adhering to aseptic techniques.
Able to handle front desk duties as needed.

Skills
Candidates should possess a combination of essential skills that contribute to effective veterinary care:

Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy.
Experience in animal handling, including dog handling and restraint techniques.
Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures.
Background in veterinary critical care or emergency situations.
Proficiency in laboratory techniques relevant to veterinary practice.
Experience with monitoring anesthesia.
Be able to multi-task efficiently.
Ability to perform tasks related to intravenous blood draws and catheters.
