Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic veterinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in animal care, veterinary procedures, and technical skills, ensuring the highest standards of patient treatment and client service. Duties

Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with precision and care.
Perform animal restraint, handling, and restraint techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff.
Conduct laboratory tests, prepare samples, and interpret results to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures such as animal catheterization, wound management, and surgical preparation.
Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology, assisting with pet grooming, and performing dental cleanings.
Manage radiographic procedures including X-ray positioning, processing, and safety protocols.
Provide pet care instructions to clients regarding medication administration, feeding, grooming, and general animal husbandry practices.
Monitor animal physiology during recovery from anesthesia or critical care treatments while documenting vital signs accurately.

Skills

Proven experience with kennel management and dog handling techniques.
Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology.
Experience in veterinary critical care settings with an understanding of emergency protocols.
Laboratory experience including sample collection, processing, and analysis.
Familiarity with equine care practices is a plus for clinics that handle larger animals.
Excellent animal handling skills combined with pet grooming and training abilities.
Proficiency in X-ray operation along with understanding of aseptic techniques during invasive procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients about pet care needs using clear veterinary terminology.
