Job Description: Our client is seeking a confident and capable Small Animal Vet Surgeon to join a busy first-opinion practice on a four-day working week. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to manage a varied caseload while maintaining high standards of clinical care and regulatory compliance.
The role would particularly suit a veterinary surgeon with a strong interest in surgery who is keen to take an active role in developing less experienced colleagues. Alongside consultations and procedures, you will contribute to fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture within the practice.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out consultations and performing routine and advanced surgical procedures
- Creating tailored treatment plans with clear cost discussions
- Maintaining high standards of clinical governance and compliance
- Participating in a 1 in 6 weekend rota
- Contributing to shared on-call and bank holiday cover
Qualifications Needed:
- MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
- Strong surgical skills and interest in developing this area further
- Experience within small animal general practice
- Ability to mentor and support junior colleagues
- Commitment to excellent patient and client care
