Job Description: Our client is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join a welcoming small animal practice located in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. The clinic has a loyal and long-standing client base and offers a supportive environment where veterinarians can develop their clinical skills while delivering excellent patient care.
The practice is well equipped with modern facilities including digital radiography, ultrasound imaging, a dedicated theatre and prep area, consultation rooms and in-house laboratory diagnostics. Working alongside an experienced veterinary and nursing team, the successful candidate will handle a varied caseload of consultations, medical treatments and routine surgical procedures while building strong relationships with pet owners.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing consultations and clinical examinations for small animal patients
- Carrying out routine surgeries and managing medical cases within the clinic
- Developing diagnostic and treatment plans suited to individual patient needs
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with clinical standards
- Collaborating with veterinary nurses and support staff to coordinate patient care
- Communicating clearly with pet owners regarding treatment options and preventative care
