Our client, Ed Jones Pty Ltd requires an experienced Mixed Crop & Livestock Farm Worker to assist in the running of their irrigated cropping division at Roeta, Hillston. The properties consisting of 24700 ha grazing country and 3100h of flood and spray irrigation growing a range of both winter and summer crops and livestock production..

They are looking for someone with all round knowledge of the general farming operation of irrigated agriculture. Successful applicant must be reliable and have experience working with irrigated agriculture and the cotton, wheat and cattle industry.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Minimum 2 years experience with irrigated cropping – flood and spray
· Knowledge and experience working within Australian Workplace Health & Safety guidelines
· Basic animal husbandry and mustering skills and experience
· Telemetry experience
· Current chemical certificates
· Manual drivers licence essential and MC licence an advantage
· Experience operating modern fleet of farm plant and equipment.
· GPS and mechanical skills required to maintain farm plant, equipment and machinery
· Knowledge and experience planning and preparing for planting and cultivation of crops

Skills required:

· Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure in remote areas
· Flexible attitude to work hours and conditions due to remote work location
· Honest and Trustworthy
· Basic computer and technology skills required to report and monitor farming information and data

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
