As a
Maintenance Technician at Hillandale Farms, you will play a vital role in supporting daily operations across our processing facilities. This position is responsible for providing hands-on technical and mechanical support to ensure the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of plant machinery. You will work with a variety of complex systems and equipment, collaborating with the Maintenance Department and Processing Team to uphold high-performance standards and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely, efficient maintenance support to processing plants, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and PLC-controlled systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and identify cost-effective repair solutions to ensure reliable equipment performance.
- Operate, maintain, and repair plant machinery and Power Industrial Trucks (PITs), using proper tools and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Department and operations team to plan and execute maintenance schedules, address equipment issues, and improve overall system performance.
- Maintain an understanding of egg processing plant operations to effectively assess and support equipment needs.
- Assist processing teams with operational tasks as needed and contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a processing plant or industrial maintenance environment preferred.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery and systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic maintenance software.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and PLC systems.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and follow detailed instructions.
