Job Description: Our client is seeking a Farm Animal Veterinarian to join a well-established regional veterinary practice located in Manjimup in Western Australia’s Southern Forests region. This role focuses on providing veterinary care to livestock and rural clients across a productive agricultural area.
The position offers strong exposure to production animal medicine within a busy rural environment. Veterinarians in this role work closely with local farmers supporting herd health, preventative medicine, and treatment of livestock conditions. While the primary focus is farm work, the clinic operates as a broader veterinary service allowing collaboration with a supportive team and access to diagnostic equipment when required.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct farm visits to assess cattle, sheep and other livestock health
- Provide treatment and preventative healthcare for production animals
- Assist clients with herd health planning and disease management
- Respond to urgent livestock cases and on-farm emergencies
- Perform reproductive and routine livestock procedures when required
- Maintain accurate clinical records and farm visit documentation
- Collaborate with the wider veterinary team for case management
