Our client is seeking a Hospital Veterinarian to join a modern, well-equipped small animal veterinary hospital in Houston, Texas. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to deliver high-quality companion animal care within a supportive and collaborative clinical environment.

The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical technology, supporting a varied caseload including preventative care, diagnostics, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. You will work alongside an experienced veterinary and nursing team, with strong operational support to help you provide excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and develop diagnostic and treatment plans n
- Provide preventative care, medical treatment, and surgical procedures n
- Carry out routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries including spays, neuters, and mass removals n
- Perform dental procedures including radiographic evaluation and extractions n
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and compliant patient medical records n
- Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and ongoing care n
- Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure efficient hospital workflow n
- Participate in clinical discussions, rounds, and case handovers n

Qualifications Needed

- n
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution n
- Eligible for or holding veterinary licensure in Texas n
- DEA licence (or ability to obtain) n
- Experience performing routine small animal surgical and dental procedures n
- Strong clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities n
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment n
- Commitment to delivering high standards of veterinary care n
