Through leadership, adoption, knowledge mobilization and communications programs, we aim to empower Ontario's agricultural community with the tools and information they need to make informed decisions and implement sustainable soil management practices.\r\n\r\nAbout the Position\r\n\r\nThe Knowledge Mobilization Coordinator is responsible for coordinating farmer network programs, organizing events, supporting partnerships, managing participant communications and support, and reporting and evaluation. The role requires strong project management skills, comfort working remotely, and the ability to travel regularly to farms and events across Ontario.\r\n\r\nThis position plays a central role in delivering our cornerstone program – the Network Challenge, launching oncoming programming, coordinating outreach activities, and supporting collaborative projects with external partners.\r\n\r\nResponsibilities:\r\n\r\nProgram & Network Coordination\r\n\r\n\r\n\tCoordinate leadership workshops, training sessions, and participant meetings\r\n\tSupport farmer participants in planning outreach and community activities\r\n\tMaintain and update program resources and participant materials\r\n\tLead recruitment, onboarding, and orientation for new program cohorts\r\n\tWork with Network Challenge participants to develop workplans and coordinate events.\r\n\r\n\r\nCommunity Mobilization\r\n\r\n\r\n\tCoordinate recruitment and events for farmer network programs\r\n\tSupport development of resource databases and participant tools\r\n\tHelp connect farmers with technical, financial, and peer resources\r\n\r\n\r\nEvent Coordination (Lead Role)\r\n\r\n\r\n\tCoordinate farmer-led events, workshops, and tours\r\n\tManage logistics including venues, travel, food, registration, and follow-up\r\n\tWork with partners to deliver joint events\r\n\tAssist participants in planning their own outreach events\r\n\r\n\r\nReporting, Surveys & Data Collection\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPrepare reports for funders and program partners\r\n\tDesign and administer participant surveys and applications\r\n\tCoordinate focus groups and feedback sessions\r\n\tTrack participation, outcomes, and program metrics\r\n\tMaintain CRM and participant databases\r\n\r\n\r\nCommunications Support\r\n\r\n\r\n\tSupport internal communications with staff and participants\r\n\tAssist with newsletters, social media, and program updates\r\n\tHelp connect communications staff with farmers and partners\r\n\tMonitor participant chat groups and respond to inquiries\r\n\tSupport CRM and database management\r\n\r\n\r\nBusiness Development & Collaboration\r\n\r\n\r\n\tSupport grant writing with internal staff and external partners\r\n\tAttend industry events and meetings to build new partnerships\r\n\tMaintain relationships with partner organizations and collaborators\r\n\tCoordinate meetings and follow-ups related to collaborative projects\r\n\tSupport new program design\r\n\r\n\r\nThought Leadership\r\n\r\n\r\n\tContribute ideas to improve programs and events\r\n\tIdentify new opportunities for farmer engagement\r\n\tHelp shape future initiatives as the role grows\r\n\tIdentify your personal areas of interest and growth and work towards your own professional development\r\n\r\n\r\nQualifications:\r\n\r\nEducation: Bachelor's or master's degree in agriculture, agronomy, agricultural science, plant science, economics or ag business management or a related field is preferred.\r\n\r\nExperience: 1-3 years or more of experience in knowledge mobilization, farmer liaising, agricultural research, or related roles preferred.\r\n\r\nSpecific Skills and Knowledge:\r\n\r\nAgricultural Knowledge: understanding of agricultural principles, practices, crop management, nutrient management, soil health, integrated pest management, and sustainable agriculture.\r\n\r\nEvent Planning: Experience coordinating events or community initiatives, demonstrated capacity to coordinate high-quality intensive meetings of 5-15 attendees, and large-scale meetings of 100-200 participants\r\n\r\nProject Management: Project management skills, including planning, execution, and evaluation of projects.\r\n\r\nCommunication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey research findings, support the development of educational materials, and interact with diverse stakeholders.\r\n\r\nStakeholder Engagement: Ability to collaborate and engage with farmers and agronomists, willingness to make and take phone calls and other informal means of communication.\r\n\r\nMust possess a valid G2 driver’s license and have access to a reliable car for regular travel to various locations within Ontario\r\n\r\nComfortable working remotely and independently \r\n\r\nWillingness to travel regularly within Ontario \r\n\r\nExperience in agriculture is an asset \r\n\r\nExperience with surveys, CRM systems, or reporting tools is an asset \r\n\r\nAdditional Skills & Proficiencies:\r\n\r\nInterpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team, collaborate with various stakeholders, and build relationships within the agricultural community.\r\n\r\nProblem-Solving and Critical
