Our candidate must have:
- Animal Health Technician / Veterinary Technician Diploma
- New grads are welcome to apply
- Passed the VTNE or will soon be passing the VTNE
- Good standing with their provincial regulatory association

Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during surgeries and treatments
- Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures
- Prepare animals for surgery and monitor anesthesia during procedures
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient files
- Provide client education on animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures
- Support kennel management including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring animal behavior
- Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment
- Support inventory management by ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels
Experience
- Prior laboratory experience is highly preferred to ensure proficiency with diagnostic procedures
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal healthcare setting is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Ability to handle animals confidently in various situations
- Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures is desirable
