This position offers an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader to oversee and manage all aspects of feedyard maintenance operations, ensuring the facility operates efficiently, safely, and at a high standard of performance. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, proven leadership skills, and experience managing maintenance teams in a feedyard, livestock, or heavy industrial environment.\r\n\r\n\r\nKey Responsibilities:\r\n\r\n· Oversee all feedyard maintenance operations including pen upkeep, road maintenance, fence repair, and general facility maintenance\r\n\r\n· Manage and supervise a maintenance crew of approximately 10–12 employees, including training, scheduling, and performance management\r\n\r\n· Oversee shop operations to ensure timely and effective repair of equipment and infrastructure\r\n\r\n· Coordinate maintenance and repair of water systems including tanks, pipelines, and plumbing components\r\n\r\n· Ensure proper upkeep of feedyard infrastructure and respond promptly to maintenance issues\r\n\r\n· Assist in troubleshooting and coordinating repairs involving welding, mechanical systems, and general facility needs\r\n\r\n· Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with company safety standards\r\n\r\n· Work closely with Feedyard Manager to prioritize maintenance needs and improve operational efficiency\r\n\r\n· Assist with preventative maintenance planning and scheduling\r\n\r\n· Coordinate with outside contractors for larger repair or expansion projects as needed\r\n\r\n\r\nQualifications:\r\n\r\n· Previous experience in maintenance management, preferably in a feedyard, livestock operation, or similar environment\r\n\r\n· Strong leadership ability with experience managing teams of 10+ employees\r\n\r\n· Solid mechanical aptitude including knowledge of equipment, welding, and general repairs\r\n\r\n· Experience with plumbing systems, water lines, and facility infrastructure maintenance\r\n\r\n· Ability to oversee shop operations and ensure quality workmanship\r\n\r\n· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills\r\n\r\n· Willingness to work extended hours, including participation in a weekend rotation schedule (typically targeted at one weekend per month, though additional coverage may be required based on operational needs)\r\n\r\n· Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team\r\n\r\n\r\nCompensation & Benefits:\r\n\r\n· Competitive salary (DOE)\r\n\r\n· Health insurance with multiple plan options\r\n\r\n· Health Savings Account (HSA) participation\r\n\r\n· Stable, long-term employment opportunity with established management team\r\n\r\n· Family-friendly work environment\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nALL INQUIRIES ARE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL.
