Veterinary Technician – Emergency Veterinary Hospital

Base Pay: $19.50 – $24.50 per hour

$2/hr weekend differential
$3/hr overnight differential

Full-time: 3 x 13-hour shifts
Clinic Hours: Friday–Monday | 24 hours

Key Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during exams, emergency procedures, and surgeries
Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during procedures and recovery
Perform imaging, laboratory testing, and medication administration under supervision
Accurately document medical records and client communications
Provide hands-on patient care, including feeding, monitoring vitals, and assessing behavior
Safely and compassionately handle and restrain animals
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety throughout the hospital
Support inventory management and equipment readiness
Provide excellent client service, including billing and payment processing
Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure efficient hospital operations

Qualifications

Veterinary Technician experience preferred; all qualified candidates encouraged to apply
Interest or experience in emergency, critical care, surgery, anesthesia, and aseptic techniques
Ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Compassion for both patients and their people
