*Job Overview*

We are seeking a dedicated experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing high-quality veterinary services.

*Responsibilities*

- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures

- Perform laboratory tests such as urinalysis, fecals, and blood draws

- Collecting patient history, temperature, heart rate, and respiration rate

- Administer medications and vaccines under veterinarian supervision

- Prepare animals and equipment for surgical procedures

- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans

- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients

- Monitor and care for hospitalized animals

*Requirements*

- Proficiency in veterinary and animal care terminology

- Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and handling techniques

- Experience with veterinary urgent care is a plus

- Ability to handle dogs, cats, and potentially exotic patients with care and compassion

- Certification or degree in veterinary technology or related field is preferred but not required

- Fear Free certified is preferred but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
