Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Aquaculture Specialist to oversee daily operations across our aquaculture facility. The role requires a deep understanding of saltwater and reef aquarium systems, and a passion for marine conservation and aquaculture.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily facility operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to production schedules.
Daily duties include cleaning/maintenance (50%), feeding/caring for species (30%), shipping orders (10%), Misc (10%)
Collaborate with the aquaculture team to optimize breeding, grow-out, and harvesting processes.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and animal welfare standards.
Supervise, train, and mentor staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Monitor operational budgets, track expenses, and support financial planning initiatives.
Coordinate logistics and distribution of marine organisms to clients, wholesalers, and restoration partners.
Support strategic initiatives, including facility expansion, sustainability programs, and research collaborations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marine Biology, or a related field
5+ years of experience in keeping saltwater or reef aquariums
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Knowledge of aquaculture systems, husbandry practices, and sustainability standards strongly preferred.
Proficiency in project management and operational software tools.

Pay: $47,568.75 - $57,287.10 per year
