Located in Naperville, Illinois, we operate a high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter center and wellness clinic. As we transition into Paws for a Cause Vet Care—becoming the largest nonprofit full-service veterinary clinic in the Midwest—we’re looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our growing team. This exciting transition will take place by the end of 2024 into 2025.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Customer Service Representative (CSR) who is enthusiastic, compassionate, and committed to supporting pet owners in a positive and customer-centric manner. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, helping them navigate the clinic’s services and ensuring a smooth and friendly experience from start to finish. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and provide friendly, professional customer service both in person and over the phone.
- Schedule appointments for wellness exams, vaccinations, spay/neuter procedures, and other veterinary services.
- Answer client inquiries, provide information on services, policies, and pricing, and ensure clients feel informed and supported.
- Assist in our high volume call center, we receive 300+ calls a day.
- Process payments, handle cash, and maintain accurate client records in our database.
- Assist with client follow-ups and reminders for upcoming appointments, vaccinations, and wellness care.
- Manage clinic email inboxes and respond to online inquiries.
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure smooth client flow and efficient patient care.
- Assist with general office tasks, including filing, faxing, and maintaining office supplies.
- Demonstrate empathy and understanding for pet owners in need of affordable care, creating a welcoming and non-judgmental environment.
Schedule:
- Full-time, with either four 10-hour shifts per week or five 8-hour shifts per week.
- 1-2 Saturdays per month (8:30 AM - 2:30 PM).
- Closed on all major holidays.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a veterinary setting.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage clients in a friendly and professional manner. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Technology: Comfortable with computer systems, scheduling software, and basic office equipment.
- Commitment: Passion for animals and their well-being, with a compassionate and patient approach to working with clients. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
