King Animal Hospital is seeking passionate and experienced Registered Veterinary Technicians to join our Small Animal Surgery team!
Our hospital is a privately owned 60,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility located in King City, Ontario. We are a Small Animal and Equine Referral and Emergency Services hospital with over 10 specialties.
As a practitioner, you will be able to provide excellent patient care through the support of strong diagnostics, and a multidisciplinary team that will include fellow RVTs, strong ACA and CSR support, ER DVMs and Board-Certified Surgeons, Critical Care Specialists, Anesthesiologists, Neurologists, Oncologists, Cardiologists, Internists, Ophthalmologists, Dermatologists, and Rehabilitation Specialists.
Under the direction of the Board-Certified Specialists, you will utilize your skills to provide the highest level of care to patients undergoing surgery. You will have the opportunity to further develop your expertise and skills in a wealth of Orthopedic and Soft Tissue surgeries.

Responsibilities include:
- Assisting Veterinarians in surgery
- Providing exceptional nursing care and support to patients in Small Animal Surgery, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing treatments.
- Working collaboratively with the veterinary team to provide advanced care, including mechanical ventilation, advanced wound care, and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Obtaining and processing samples using in-house diagnostic lab equipment.
- Preparing and maintaining detailed medical records, including patient histories, treatment plans, and diagnostic results, using EzyVet and VetRadar.
- Communicating with pet owners to provide updates on their pet’s condition.
- Participating in continuing education and professional development to stay up to date on the latest innovations and developments in emergency and critical care.
Our Small Animal Surgery team works weekdays and rotating Saturdays. It is not anticipated that overnight shifts will be a part of this role. Please inquire for more information.
We will provide training on leading diagnostics and equipment including our 3.0 T MRI, 128-slice GE CT, digital x-ray, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, ventilators, in-house IDEXX lab equipment, and more.

- You will ideally have a minimum of one year in Referral or Emergency Services.
