Location
The Compassionate Care Veterinary Clinic opened in January 2008 in order to provide an urgent medical care facility for the north-east section of Rhode Island and south-west Massachusetts. Located in Providence’s suburb, Cumberland, with numerous parks and trails and easy access to both Boston and Providence.
Practice Overview
Here at Compassionate Care veterinary Clinic, it is our mission to provide progressive medicine in a family practice atmosphere. While our clinic started as urgent care, we have expanded to a full-service hospital where we offer yearly checkups and vaccines. We also perform a wide variety of soft tissue surgeries on-site. Our state-of the art facility houses digital and dental radiology, digital cytology, ultrasound, Idexx in house lab equipment, ECG, blood pressure monitors and a tonopen on site. Our team consists of passionate veterinary professionals who are highly motivated, compassionate, and thrive in a team work environment. What You’ll Be Working On
- Build and maintain client relationships
- Diagnose, treat and manage a variety of small animal cases
- Perform small animal surgeries with opportunities for mentorship if desired
- Maintain a positive and supportive work environment
- Guide and utilize exceptional support staff
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program is required
- Be licensed or able to be licensed in the state of Rhode Island
- Interest in soft tissue surgery preferred
- Interest in small mammal care preferred
- Surgical and dental experience preferred
- Flexible with schedule - no weekends
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and continuous learning
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
- Strong communication skills
- Positive team player who motivates staff with encouragement
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
