The Technical team are looking for a Technical Advisor to provide nutritional support for internal colleagues, liaise with the formulations team to ensure specifications are legal and technically correct, assist with technical projects, engage with customers alongside technical and commercial teams to provide nutritional/technical support for the ruminant portfolio.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical support for internal colleagues including product advice/creation/amendment, project development, ration formulation for all ruminant species.
- Providing technical support for the formulations team, to include but not limited to, technical checking formulations, specification creation, training, customer spec creations and general nutritional support.
- Specialising in key nutritional areas, such as mineral nutrition, transition/milking cow, beef and sheep
- Involvement in the development of local/global technical innovation, products and solutions to benefit the future of the GB market
- Supporting internal procedures such as trials, laboratory data review, formulation package management, campaign development and nutritional training
- Keeping up to date with nutritional/legislative literature and requirements, including minlink and other internal tools
- Keeping up to date with the latest research from relevant scientific journals, conduct regular reviews on literature to present back to the wider technical team
- Supporting the technical team with customer specific projects
To succeed in this role you will be degree qualified in animal nutrition or related subject with some experience of the ruminant nutrition sector. With an understanding of the farming industry, you must be confident in meeting with and presenting to both internal and external stakeholders. As well as strong communication skills, you will be confident working with complex data and have an organised approach to work.
