Technical Sales Representative - California
Cultiva is hiring a
Technical Sales Representative to drive sales across California’s specialty crop market. This independent, field-based role is ideal for a motivated professional with a hunter mentality, strong grower relationships, and technical expertise in biostimulants and specialty crops. You’ll be responsible for achieving sales targets, developing new business, supporting distributor partners, and serving as a technical resource to growers across the region.

What You’ll Do
- Build and manage relationships with specialty crop growers and distributor partners in California
- Prospect and close new business to expand market share across multiple crops including citrus, stone fruit, cherries and table grapes.
- Deliver technical expertise to growers and distributor teams, positioning Cultiva as a trusted partner in crop solutions
- Collaborate with technical team to execute product demonstrations and field trials
- Representing the company in industry trade shows and conducting promotional activities
- Manage sales pipeline from start to finish
- Train distributor staff on Cultiva technologies and applications
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related field
- 5-7 years of ag sales experience, ideally in biostimulants, ag biotechnology, or specialty crop inputs
- Strong sales hunter mentality with a proven ability to develop new business
- PCA or CCA license (preferred)
- Existing grower relationships and industry network in California
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across multiple audiences
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and highly collaborative personality
Physical Demands: In addition to typical office work demands, you must be able to operate a motor vehicle safely for long distances, travel by aircraft, and work outdoors in very hot, very cold or otherwise inclement weather. Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Travel Expectations: Up to 40% overnight including minimal travel outside of territory for region and company-wide meetings.
