About the Position

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Ranch Couple to assist with daily operations on a private hunting plantation in Blackville, South Carolina. This is a hands-on, full-time position that involves caring for animals, maintaining property and equipment, and managing the cleanliness and upkeep of multiple homes on the property.

Ideal candidates are self-motivated, physically fit, comfortable working outdoors, and take pride in keeping both the land and living spaces well-maintained.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain farm vehicles, tools, and equipment.
Perform property and grounds maintenance, including mowing, lawn care, fencing, discing, and road repairs.
Oversee the daily care, feeding, and welfare of livestock and animals — including cows, goats, chickens, donkeys, and dogs.
Maintain barns, kennels, and other animal enclosures.
Monitor animal health, identify and treat basic health issues, and assist with veterinary procedures as needed.
Conduct general handyman repairs and light maintenance work.
Perform housekeeping and property management tasks, including:
- Cleaning and maintaining multiple residences and guest lodges.
- Laundry, linen changes, and light organizing.
- Preparing homes for guests or owner visits.
- Monitoring supplies and reporting maintenance issues.
Demonstrate initiative, strong communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Prior ranch, farm, or livestock experience preferred.
Experience in housekeeping, property management, or hospitality is highly desirable.
Knowledge of animal care and basic veterinary practices.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
Comfortable working independently and as a team.
Basic mechanical, welding, or carpentry skills a plus.
Must pass a background check and be eligible to work in the U.S.
