Covetrus is looking for a talented software engineer to join our UK product development team.

Covetrus is a global animal-health technology and services company. We have decades of experience supporting the whole of the veterinary industry covering everything from product wholesale to practice managementsolutions (PMS).The UK teamis responsible forthe development ofa number ofprojects that support and build on our global PMS including cloud-basedtools and APIs as well as mobile products.

What we need
To achieveCovetrus’goal of deliveringnew technologyto our customers we need a passionate engineer with a proven ability to deliver quality software as part of an agile, multi-disciplinary team.You should be comfortable taking defined work tasks fromthe team leads and producing work autonomously. In this post-pandemic world, Covetrus has adopted a hybrid-remote working environment and, as such,touch-pointswith your team have changed and continue to evolve. You should be confident enough to work with that level of “at-home” independence while knowing your limits and when to engage with the right people.
About You
You should be a tenacious problem solver.
You love working withina strong teamand communicate well to the team’s output.
You must have a strong degree in Computer Science or a relevant level of experience to show your capabilities.
You should be comfortable working in Cloud Native environments.
You should be experienced withC# and have commercial development experience in the .NET tech stack.
You should have a good understanding of REST and how to implement and consume an API.
You should have a variety of experience working with typical engineering pipeline tools including version control, code-qualityand testing tools.
You should have some experiencewith modern databases and familiarity with SQL.
Ideally you could also have
Experience implementing API authentication systems such as OAuth2.
Experience in Front-End UI development, ideally withAngular.
Experience working with public cloud infrastructure, ideally Azure.
Experience with Microservicedesign patterns.
Good knowledge of git and modern source control.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Experience with CI pipeline tools such asAzure Pipelinesand automated release processes.
