The team works closely with Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations in retail stores and production facilities specific to Fortinos, helping set, track, and achieve financial goals.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat you'll do\r\n\r\n\r\n\tProvide financial planning and analytical support to all business partners, including variance analysis, reporting, and identification of risks and opportunities\r\n\tSupport the periodic financial close and forecasting cycles by delivering insights on performance, guidance on expected gaps, and plan/forecast variance analysis\r\n\tPrepare and distribute weekly and periodic operational financial summaries\r\n\tSupport the annual planning and budgeting process\r\n\tPrepare key financial and operational KPI reporting, offering data-driven insights to support decision-making\r\n\tReview all inventory counts, identify potential material errors, analyze drivers of high shrink, and provide weekly and periodic reporting to support shrink-reduction objectives\r\n\tParticipate in special projects, prepare reports, and perform other duties as assigned\r\n\tContribute to a strong collaborative culture by building meaningful cross-functional relationships and fostering a workplace rooted in inclusiveness and belonging\r\n\tAdopt Loblaw’s hybrid working model, which requires working in the office a minimum of 4 days per week, with the ability to work remotely up to 1 day per week. This role also requires occasional travel to the Fortinos office in Hamilton, Ontario.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat you bring\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPost-secondary education in Finance or a related field; experience in a fast-paced environment—particularly corporate and/or retail—considered an asset\r\n\tMinimum 5 years’ finance or accounting experience\r\n\tEnrollment in the CPA program considered an asset\r\n\tAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint\r\n\tExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments\r\n\tStrong initiative and business acumen, with a continuous improvement mindset and eagerness to learn\r\n\tExcellent oral and written communication skills\r\n\tStrong critical thinking and results-oriented approach\r\n\tAbility to work with and manipulate large volumes of data and translate findings into meaningful and actionable insights\r\n\tFamiliarity with SAP and MicroStrategy considered an asset\r\n\tAbility to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nOur commitment to Sustainability and Social Impact is an essential part of the way we do business, and we focus our attention on areas where we can have the greatest impact.
