Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Veterinary Receptionist and/or Veterinary Technician to join our mobile veterinary practice. This vital role involves providing excellent customer service, managing appointment scheduling, performing injections (vet tech only), checking/managing email, carrying cell phone/checking/responding to phone calls and texts (90% of communication), maintaining a communication log, filling medications, creating quotes/estimates and ensuring a professional and client centered experience for owners. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to stay organized, the ability to manage the practice independently, and experience in a veterinary setting. This position is primarily done from your home with some in-practice hours.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients with professionalism and warmth
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments efficiently
- Answer phone calls/emails, respond to inquiries, and manage client communications
- Maintain accurate patient records and update client information in the system
- Assist with blood draws, librela/solensia injections (tech only)
- Support the veterinary team with administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations
- Assist with inventory of office supplies and ensure the practice area is tidy
Experience
- Previous experience in a veterinary or medical reception role is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and maintain communication well
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and clients
- Proficiency with computer systems and veterinary management software

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 25 per week
