Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Veterinary Receptionist and/or Veterinary Technician to join our mobile veterinary practice. This vital role involves providing excellent customer service, managing appointment scheduling, performing injections (vet tech only), checking/managing email, carrying cell phone/checking/responding to phone calls and texts (90% of communication), maintaining a communication log, filling medications, creating quotes/estimates and ensuring a professional and client centered experience for owners. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to stay organized, the ability to manage the practice independently, and experience in a veterinary setting. This position is primarily done from your home with some in-practice hours.

Responsibilities

Greet clients with professionalism and warmth
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments efficiently
Answer phone calls/emails, respond to inquiries, and manage client communications
Maintain accurate patient records and update client information in the system
Assist with blood draws, librela/solensia injections (tech only)
Support the veterinary team with administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations
Assist with inventory of office supplies and ensure the practice area is tidy

Experience

Previous experience in a veterinary or medical reception role is preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and maintain communication well
Compassionate attitude towards animals and clients
Proficiency with computer systems and veterinary management software

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 – 25 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Water Valley, AB
