Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will play a key role in driving sales through effective merchandising, product demonstrations, and upselling techniques. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a passion for pets!
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide compassionate assistance throughout their shopping experience
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits
- Suggest products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customers
- Stock shelves and ensure products are well-presented and available
- Assist in inventory management and restocking as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Uphold store standards for cleanliness, safety, and organization
- Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred
- Familiarity with pets (Fish, Reptiles, Small Animals)
- Supervising experience is beneficial for those looking to grow within the company
- Proficiency in basic math and retail math skills for accurate transactions
