\r\n\r\nJob Description\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe Opportunity:\r\n\r\nThe Automation Specialist is responsible for supporting the automation actions for the facility. The automation actions will include system backups and disaster recovery, production support, department training and continuous improvement initiatives. The Automation/Controls Specialist will play a key role in supporting the plant to improve equipment efficiency and optimize manufacturing effectiveness.\r\n \r\n\r\nAny MLF team member interested in being considered for this role are encouraged to apply online by November 20. Applications received beyond that date are not guaranteed consideration.\r\n \r\n\r\nReason for vacancy: Existing Headcount\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSnapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPrimary Support for distributed, local process control and monitoring automation systems\r\n\tEffectively troubleshoot any HMI, PLC, Remote IO, VFD, electronic control-related and communication network issues within the facility\r\n\tProvide input on equipment installation, total predictive/preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of SCADA, PCS, MES, BAS systems\r\n\tMaintain plant control and monitoring automation systems by updating documentation and keeping current backups of all machine and robot related control systems\r\n\tMaintain asset center repository to ensure all backups are synchronized\r\n\tMaintain all equipment related and computer integration software to ensure all revisions are current\r\n\tProvide support for all departments when launching new programs\r\n\tLiaison with engineering department on all equipment modifications\r\n\tDesign electrical schematics in AutoCAD format for any equipment changes\r\n\tCompetent to troubleshoot equipment in the plant locally or through VPN access when required.\r\n\tMentor team members when required to work through and solve equipment controls related issues\r\n\tBe comfortable with the Escalation procedure and understand the requirement of receiving after hours calls from time to time\r\n\tWork with Maintenance team to establish programs to mentor and develop Maintenance support team to enhance knowledge and skills of Automated equipment\r\n\tDevelop contingency support plan for all Maintenance Team members.
